Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Production Assistant to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced food production environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
The successful candidate will play a vital part in supporting the production process, maintaining food safety and hygiene protocols, and contributing to the creation of high-quality handmade confectionery products.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and organisation of ingredients and materials for confectionery production
- Operate and monitor specialised machinery used in the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth operation
- Follow food safety procedures meticulously to maintain product integrity and compliance with regulations
- Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet brand standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area to uphold hygiene standards
- Support with packing, labelling, and storage of finished goods
Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of hygiene principles and food safety is essential
- Experience of bakery / confectionery production or familiarity with food production processes is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for operating machinery will be advantageous
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety standards are met
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report any issues promptly
