Here at The Escalator Company, we’re looking for an experienced Escalator Engineer to join our growing team, supporting a portfolio of over 400 escalators and travelators across the UK. We work with major clients including Tesco, Asda, Ikea and many other well-known high street retailers, delivering servicing, inspections, repairs and refurbishment projects nationwide.
This role would suit a qualified Escalator Engineer with a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and expanding organisation.

Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:

Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and safety checks on escalators and travelators across our customer portfolio

Using diagnostic testing to identify faults, defects and malfunctions, then repairing or replacing defective components

Completing service reports and documentation for each site visited, detailing work completed and any further actions required

Depending on experience, undertaking escalator and travelator refurbishment work while ensuring all safety procedures are followed on site
Can you show experience in some of these areas:

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) or equivalent qualification

Strong ability to identify and resolve technical, mechanical and re-wiring issues on escalator systems

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently across multiple sites

Commitment to safe working practices and ongoing online training to maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance
