Job Title: Support Worker
Reports to: Case Manager Tania Brown Ltd
Location: Welwyn Garden City, England
Part Time: 1 x 17 hours per week on a Rota basis, and 1 x 17 hours per month on a Rota basis.
The hours per shift are 9:00 to 17:30 (including 1-2 Saturdays per month). Additional hours may be available on a voluntary basis to cover staff sickness and annual leave.
Pay: £16.50 per hour weekdays - £18.50 per hour weekends.

Our Client:
Tania Brown Ltd are excited to be looking for two contracted employees, to support a friendly and welcoming care package in Welwyn Garden City.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive female to complement our client’s current team, supporting a gentleman, on a one to one basis, with his physical and cognitive rehabilitation, alongside general day-to-day living.
Our client has an acquired brain injury and needs staff to encourage and support his daily living to ensure he is safe and supported – both at home and out in the community.
You will be required to promote his health and well-being, as well as his independence, inclusive of his rehabilitation and therapy.
Our client is very sociable and loves to be out and about! Your role is to support this as best as you possibly can.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as a driver for our client, assisting with transport to and from local leisure activities and volunteering.
- Encouraging a healthy lifestyle, including assistance with meal preparation.
- Assistance with dressing and domestic duties alongside personal care.
- Assistance with feeding (due to dysphagia).
- Manual handling needs (one to one).
Experience & Criteria:
- UK Valid Driving License –desirable.
- 2+ Years’ experience in care within the UK (either paid or unpaid). – essential.
- Previous experience of the moving and handling of people – essential.
- Experience and knowledge of acquired brain injury and/or learning disabilities – desirable.
- Fluent in English (clear communication is necessary due to our clients brain injury and delayed speeds in processing speech due to dysphagia). – essential.
