This is a 5-6 month contract role with a local authority, aimed at providing intensive, family-focused support and intervention to children, young people, and families with complex needs. The position is crucial for improving outcomes, safeguarding children, strengthening parenting capacity, and helping families build resilience. This is achieved through effective assessment, direct intervention, and multi-agency partnership working.

Undertake comprehensive assessments to identify the needs, strengths, and risks affecting children, young people, and their families.

Deliver targeted family support interventions using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.

Build positive and professional relationships with children, young people, parents, carers, and wider family networks.

Support children to remain safely within their family environment wherever possible.

Develop, implement, and review family support plans to achieve agreed outcomes.

Conduct home visits and provide practical support to families in community settings.

Experience working directly with children, young people, and families in a social care, family support, early help, or safeguarding environment.

Experience undertaking assessments and developing support plans.

NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Services, Health and Social Care, Early Years, or a related field.

Enhanced DBS clearance.

Working hours: 36 hours per week.
