Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to join our temporary workforce, providing flexible ongoing opportunities across Burnley and the surrounding areas.
We work with a variety of services supporting both adults and children, including:
- Mental health services
- Domestic abuse support
- Recovery and rehabilitation services
- Respite care
- Supported accommodation
- Children’s residential services
- Services supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
You will be supporting individuals with a range of needs, which may include EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties), trauma, self-harm, complex behaviours, mental health needs, and additional support requirements.
The Role:
As a Temporary Support Worker, you will provide high-quality person-centred support, helping individuals to maintain independence, develop life skills, and access the support they need. Duties may include:
- Providing emotional and practical support
- Supporting individuals with daily living tasks
- Promoting independence and wellbeing
- Building positive professional relationships
- Supporting with challenging situations using appropriate strategies
- Completing daily records and following care/support plans
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
✅ Previous experience working within a care, support, residential, mental health, or similar setting
✅ A minimum of 6 months relevant experience (applications without the required level of experience may not be progressed)
✅ A good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support
✅ The ability to work confidently with individuals who may display challenging behaviours or have complex needs
Desirable (but not essential):
- A current Adult and Child DBS registered on the Update Service
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
