We are seeking an experienced and reliable Butcher who will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, preparing, cutting, trimming, portioning, displaying and packaging meat, poultry and seafoods for retail sale. The role requires strong butchery skills, excellent hygiene standards and the ability to serve customers from different cultural backgrounds.
Main duties include:
- Prepare, cut, trim, debone, mince and portion meat, poultry and Seafood for sale.
- Serve customers, answer questions, give advice, take orders and receive payments.
- Check the quality, freshness and temperature of all meat deliveries.
- Weigh, package, label, price and display products correctly.
- Keep tools, equipment, counters and work areas clean and hygienic.
- Monitor stock, rotate products, reduce waste and follow all food-safety procedures.
Skills and Education:
- Proven experience working as a Butcher or in a closely related meat preparation role.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety standards, and proper meat storage procedures.
- Excellent knife skills and the ability to prepare different cuts.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to assist customers and work effectively with staff and management.
Pay: £41,700.00-£42,000.00 per year
