Join the Close Brothers Commercial Team where you will support the direct sales teams local to your regional sales hub throughout the customer onboarding journey, leading a team of Account Managers in liaising with new and existing customers to drive new business, manage or support the submission of proposals to underwriting, performing initial due diligence activities, requesting timely support from the operations function to support customer sign-up and facility activation.
Working as part of the Asset Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in customer service and relationship management with excellent communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Liaise with Credit and Operations functions plus customers, brokers and suppliers to solve proposal or deal documentation accuracy issues to enable timely customer outcomes

Support work allocation and monitor service levels

Empower and engage team members through effective coaching, mentoring, and development to enhance individual and team performance

Work with the HR Business Partner to implement a structured performance review process, including clear objectives, personal development plans, and defined performance standards

Work in tandem with the Direct Sales teams and their leadership to provide exceptional service to our Customers and Brokers

Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our company's values and maintaining a positive brand image at all times.

Understand the team business strategy, vision/mission and personal contribution to it.

Understand and comply with standard operating procedures to meet the Group’s Conduct Risk policies and the expectations of our regulators

Understand the main risks arising in your area of responsibility, how to mitigate them and escalate where you are unable to comply and to meet all data requirements
Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

An ability to communicate with both customers and colleagues at all levels of seniority and liaise effectively with other internal departments.

Proven experience in customer service, relationship management or a related role.

Proficiency in handling customer enquiries and resolving issues with a customer-centric approach.

A strong attention to detail.

A numerate and analytical ability.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:

A familiarity with CRM software and other customer support tools

Good knowledge of Microsoft products

Previous knowledge of the Financial Services industry and in a similar customer facing role.
