Working hours for the role are Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:30pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm

We are seeking an experienced and Customer-Centric Transport Manager to join our brilliant team in Cambridge. Working in a state of the art environment, you will be responsible for managing a small team of drivers to achieve the businesses daily collection and delivery bookings and ensure a fantastic customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the booking diary and ensuring the daily target for collections and deliveries are met
- Ensuring efficient route planning to maximise collections and deliveries
- Customer contact to advise collection and delivery times
- Ensuring the driver team communicate effectively with customers
- Ensuring the fleet of courtesy cars are well maintained and damages caused are paid for by the customer or a claim is raised
- Communicating with the site Manager on daily performance levels and any issues which arise
- Ensure Excess and VAT payments are taken prior to release of vehicles
- Providing customer repair updates via phone, email and text
- Recruiting new drivers and ensuring training is conducted
- Liaising with insurers and work providers on claim status's
- Updating portals with site data and ensuring KPIs and SLAs are adhered too
Previous experience & skills:
- A proven track record in Customer Experience is essential
- Previous Transport Manager experience would be ideal
- Experience using automotive bodyshop software is advantageous but full training will be provided.
- Computer literacy is essential with experience using Adobe, Word and Excel
- Proactive mindset, identifying and remedying issues before they arise, particularly around route planning and working around customer requirements
- Empathetic towards differing customers needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
