Overview
We are seeking vigilant and dependable Event Security personnel to ensure the safety and security of attendees at various events. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a professional demeanour, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. This role offers an engaging environment where maintaining safety is paramount, and teamwork is essential.
Duties
- Monitor event premises using surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify any suspicious activity or potential security threats.
- Conduct regular patrols of the venue to maintain a visible security presence and deter undesirable behaviour.
- Enforce event policies and procedures, including loss prevention measures, to protect attendees and property.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with emergency services if required.
- Manage access control by checking tickets or identification and ensuring only authorised individuals enter designated areas.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with team members regarding any security concerns or irregularities.
- Assist with crowd control during peak times to ensure smooth flow and minimise congestion or disorder.
Requirements
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
- Valid first aid certification is highly desirable; training can be provided if necessary.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly to emergencies.
- Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during event hours as required.
- Must be physically fit enough to patrol large venues and stand for extended periods throughout shifts. This position provides an opportunity to contribute significantly to the safety of event attendees while working within a dynamic team environment dedicated to excellence in security services.
Please note this is an adhoc position and events can be in various other locations so transport is a requirement
Pay: £13.50 per hour
