Quality Inspector

Operating in Tewkesbury since 1986, we work for some of the leading organisations in the UK. We manufacture products for customers who operate principally in the defence and security sectors using the latest CNC equipment.
We are proud to have an established and family led Senior Leadership Team in place to ensure our operations run efficiently 24 hours a day across our 3 manufacturing sites in the Tewkesbury area. Our strong foundations and expertise help our team and customers feel confident working with us.
Based at our site in Bredon, Tewkesbury, this exciting opportunity will support our quality team with inspection and verification activities and to ensure that our Quality department maintains our compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and our organisations relevant procedures.
This position is responsible for:
- Internal production cell audits
- Verification of first-off parts
- General inspection activities as and when required
- Creating and updating in process inspection records
- Attending and supporting material review board meetings
- Supporting monthly calibration activities
- Supporting continuous improvement activities
- Logging all non-conformance's on the ERP system to implement preventative actions as required
- First Article Inspection Reporting (FAIRs) for customer contacts
- Final view inspection of machined components
- Communicating with customer and sub-contractor suppliers on non-conformances
You’ll succeed in this role and will enjoy working with us if:
- You possess previous experience working in a quality focused role, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience working with machined components is preferable
- Previous experience working with a CMM, measuring arms, or similar equipment and software, would be beneficial
- You want to enjoy coming to work every day, knowing that the work that you do has purpose and impact globally
- You take pride in being diligent and completing tasks right first time
- You enjoy working reasonably independently but can work within agreed policies and procedures
- You communicate professionally and build credibility and rapport with key stakeholders quickly

- 39 hours per week with an early finish every Friday (Mon - Thurs 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 13:00)

Pay: £30,014.00 per year
