Overview
Join our friendly team as a Front of House Team Member and play a part in the day to day running of our small, well loved cafe. In this fast paced environment you'll need to be good at juggling multiple tasks, great with people, quick at making drinks and an excellent communicator with your team around you. Working directly with the owner, this really is a small business at the heart of the local community.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about the menu offerings with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders, process payments efficiently, and handle cash or card transactions with precision.
- Assist in food preparation and plating to ensure timely service and presentation standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including tables, counters, and service stations.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food delivery and ensure orders are correct.
- Follow all food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Make coffees and other drinks to order
Experience
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating comfort working in fast-paced environments.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume hours.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging positively with guests and team members.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
