Learning Support Assistant
Location: Kedington Primary Academy
Job start date: 1st September 2026
Contract Type: Permanent, part time (18.75 hours per week, 38 weeks per year)
Salary: USP Grade 2 or 3 depending on experience (FTE £24,795–£25,989/actual £10,505–£11,012), plus Local Government Pension Scheme
Kedington Primary Academy is a friendly one-form entry primary school located close to Haverhill and part of the Unity Schools Partnership.
We are seeking an excellent Learning Support Assistant to join our team.
The post will involve a mixture of general classroom support and support for individual children, working 8.30am–12.15pm, Monday to Friday.
We are looking for someone who:
- is calm, positive and patient
- will support our trauma-informed schools approach
- is passionate about supporting every child to achieve
- has the interpersonal skills to develop positive and supportive relationships with children, colleagues and parents
- is able to use their own initiative and can 'think on their feet'
- is efficient and organised
- has experience working with children with special educational needs
