Overview
Role will primarily involve:
1) Shipping - Liaising with transport companies, sales and production planning and organising external and in-house transport to deliver to customers.
2) Customer liaison – To book in and schedule deliveries and collections.
3) Admin – All administration and paperwork such as commercial documentation, packing lists, delivery notes associated with outgoing deliveries.
4) Raising and issuing of purchase orders in line with customer returns.
Skills:
1) Microsoft Office Proficient
2) Experience of Microsoft NAV ERP System desirable but not essential as training will be provided
3) A willingness to learn all aspects of the role.
4) An ability to work accurately under pressure.
5) The ability to affectively prioritise work with minimum supervision.
6) Good understanding of business practices.
7) Excellent telephone manner.
8) Ability to work as part of a close-knit team – sales/planning, Supply Chain Manager, Operations Director, Warehouse Manager, Shift Managers.
9) Previous logistics experience desirable but training will be given.
10) General and ad-hoc duties as and when required
Hours of work
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm
