About the Role
BIS Valves Ltd is a leading manufacturer of high-performance valves used in demanding industrial and subsea applications. We are seeking a Mechanical Inspector and CMM Programmer to join our Quality team and support our commitment to high standards of quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of mechanical parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Program and operating CMM equipment.
- Use precision measuring equipment including verniers, micrometres, bore gauges and height gauges.
- Calibrate and maintain in-house measuring equipment
- Identify, record, and report non-conformances in line with quality procedures
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inspection records and reports
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality standards
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement
About You
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Experienced in programming and operating CMM
- Hands-on experience using precision measuring tools
- Good understanding of machining and assembly processes
- Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 experience preferred)
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
