Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Telematics & Camera Installation Engineer – Auto Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining telematics systems and camera solutions in a variety of vehicles. Your expertise in auto electrical systems, combined with your mechanical knowledge, will ensure seamless integration of cutting-edge technology into fleet vehicles. Duties
- Install and troubleshoot telematics devices and camera systems in diverse vehicle models with precision and efficiency
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring, mounting, and system integration tasks according to technical specifications
- Conduct heavy lifting when handling equipment, vehicle parts, or installation components safely and effectively
- Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance and durability
- Follow detailed installation procedures, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards throughout each project
- Collaborate with team members to plan installation schedules and resolve technical challenges promptly
- Document all installation activities thoroughly, including system configurations, test results, and any issues encountered
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an auto electrician or in vehicle electrical systems installation, with a focus on telematics or camera systems preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle layouts and electrical schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and crimping tools; familiarity with power tools is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy equipment or vehicle parts safely as part of installation processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance
- Valid auto electrician certification or relevant technical qualifications are highly desirable
- Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces or outdoor conditions
