About the Role
As part of a centralised Facilities and Estates service, this role supports a one-team, customer-focused approach to facilities management. The aim is to ensure that operational services can focus on their core responsibilities while all aspects of facilities, estates, and soft FM services are effectively managed by the Facilities Management team. The role contributes to the management of Force assets and helps ensure facilities services are anticipated, prioritised, and delivered efficiently across multiple sites.
What You Will Be Doing
Providing a flexible, adaptable, and customer-focused facilities service across multiple sites.
Acting as a first point of contact for customers and responding to facilities-related enquiries.
Carrying out proactive assessments, inspections, and monitoring of premises and facilities.
Supporting maintenance activities, porterage, and manual handling tasks.
Managing and monitoring buildings, grounds, mechanical and electrical plant, and equipment.
Working independently while collaborating closely with a centrally managed Facilities team.
Helping minimise operational disruption through proactive facilities management.
Using centralised systems, processes, and working practices to manage services effectively.
Ensuring facilities and services comply with statutory requirements, health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Essential Criteria
Experience in facilities management, estates management, building maintenance, or a similar environment.
Ability to deliver excellent customer service and build positive working relationships.
Experience of monitoring and maintaining buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
Ability to work independently, use initiative, and prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively across a centralised service.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements and statutory compliance obligations.
Experience carrying out inspections, assessments, or maintenance-related activities.
Ability to adapt to changing operational requirements and support multiple sites when required (a full UK driving licence is required).
Competence in using systems, processes, and procedures to manage facilities services.
