We're on the lookout for a talented Pastry Chef to join our growing team at Pastille Bakery in Liverpool! You’ll be working within the bakery team, alongside the head chef helping to make all the good stuff — from perfectly layered viennoiserie to seasonal specials that keep our regulars coming back. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is confident and passionate about making beautiful, consistent pastries every day
What we're looking for:
- Solid background & expertise in lamination & shaping viennoiserie.
- A good understanding of dough behaviour, fermentation, and baking times
- A meticulous eye for detail and a high standard for quality
- A team player who’s positive, reliable, and happy to get stuck in across all areas of the bakery including Front of House.
- Comfortable with early starts and ability to remain calm & supportive in a fast-paced production environment
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries & cakes according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with the bakery team to plan menus and develop new pastry items.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in lamination, baking and pastry preparation & decoration.
- Level 2 Foody Safety & Hygeine
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful pastries.
