Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Assist guests with menu selections, upselling specials and additional items to enhance their experience
- Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset efficiently for new guests
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system and provide correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special dietary requirements or requests
- Uphold high standards of guest service by anticipating needs and resolving any issues promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving procedures, upselling techniques, and guest services enhances performance in this role
- Good organisational skills, time management, and the ability to work efficiently during busy periods are essential
- Basic maths skills are required for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in culinary settings or kitchen environments can be beneficial but is not mandatory
