We are looking for an enthusiastic Charity Fundraiser/Administrator to join our friendly events team at our head office in Kidderminster.
The Job
Preference will be given to applicants with Telephone Sales or admin experience, full training will be provided on how to use our systems.
We are a national charity that supports children with disabilities throughout the UK. We raise our funds by contacting donors nationwide by telephone to organise one of our themed fundraising events.
Responsibilities and Duties
You will work with our well-established client database of over 30,000 donors. You will also be required to generate a small percentage of new donors to whom leads will be supplied. You must have a professional telephone manner and a cheerful personality, and be able to speak with our donors on all levels. There will be administration duties such as Gift Aid, Just giving and helping with grants. You must also be able to manage and organise your time efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
Full in-house training is provided; however, you must have good communication skills and an excellent telephone manner. This position would suit someone who has worked in a call centre, telesales, or similar. You must have a friendly yet persuasive telephone style to make calls and achieve reasonable targets.
You will also require relevant computer skills to operate our contact management system (although full training is provided). Applicants must be reliable and well-presented.
Benefits
The successful applicant will be required to work 19.5 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 09.00 to 16.00. Once fully trained, depending on workload, an extra day may be avalible (Thursday)
The starting salary is £13.00 per hour, which will be reviewed after three months of service based on your performance within our grading scheme.
