Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffolder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, dismantling, and maintaining scaffolding structures on various building sites. Responsibilities
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications
- Inspect scaffolding for stability and safety before use, ensuring all components are secure and compliant
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to assemble scaffolding components accurately
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, roofers, electricians, or masons to facilitate smooth workflow
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all scaffolding materials are stored safely when not in use
- Conduct routine inspections during shifts to identify potential hazards or structural issues and address them promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risks on site
Skills
. experience in scaffolding installation and dismantling
- Knowledge of construction-related trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work is advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in scaffolding assembly and fabrication
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to working at height
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights safely
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and site managers
