Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will also have experience in TIG welding and experience of braisng. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects contributing to high-quality production standards. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently on their own and within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and TIG welding on a variety of materials
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Operate fabrication machinery and assist with the setup of welding equipment
- Conduct quality checks on welded components to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG welding, with additional TIG welding skills considered advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and technical specifications
- Experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
