Project Support Officer
Providing Essential Administrative and Project Support
We're recruiting a Project Support Officer to join a busy team in Bradford, providing high-quality administrative and project support services. This role is key to supporting the delivery of services for children, young people and their families across the Bradford district, ensuring smooth project coordination, accurate records, and effective service delivery.
This role is ideal for an organised, reliable, and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced administrative and project environment and supporting multiple stakeholders.
About the Role:
As a Project Support Officer, you'll provide comprehensive administrative and project support to teams and projects, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. You will work closely with Contract and Quality Officers to support best-value reviews and help monitor project outcomes and impact.
What you'll be doing:
Support the delivery of services for children, young people and their families across the Bradford district
Work closely with Contract and Quality Officers to support best-value reviews
Maintain accurate records and project information
Collect, organise and report information on project outcomes and impact
Provide administrative and project support to help ensure effective service delivery
Assist with preparing reports, documentation and other project materials
Communicate effectively with internal teams and relevant stakeholders
Handle confidential information appropriately
Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Undertake other relevant duties as required to support the service

We're looking for a dependable and well-organised administrator who can work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team, with strong communication and organisational skills.
Must-Have Requirements:
Previous experience in project support, administration or a similar role
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain accurate records and handle information confidentially
Good working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications
Ability to analyse, organise and present information clearly
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Professional and respectful approach when working with colleagues and stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Requirements:
Experience working within a local authority or public-sector environment
Experience supporting children's, young people's or family services
Experience of contract monitoring, quality assurance or best-value reviews
Experience of project administration and reporting
Familiarity with working with sensitive or confidential information
Business-casual dress is expected

Client: Bradford Council
Location: Britannia House, Bradford, BD1 1HX
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Pay Rate: £117.57 Per Day
Start Date: ASAP (originally scheduled for 7 September 2026)
Contract Duration: Temporary contract for 90 working days, pro rata, ending 1 December 2026
