Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and ingredient handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Help with the storage of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper labelling and rotation
- Serve meals to guests or customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with general kitchen duties such as washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food presentation, and basic cooking techniques will be beneficial
- Experience in serving guests or customers within a hospitality setting is a plus
