A fantastic opportunity has arisen at The July London Victoria! We’re on the lookout for a Duty Manager to join our vibrant aparthotel family.
This stunning, sustainable city oasis features 114 beautifully designed studios and two spacious residential apartments. But it’s more than just a place to stay, it's a place to live, meet and connect. Our in-house restaurant, bar, and deli will serve not only hotel guests but also our neighbours, keeping the atmosphere lively from early mornings to late evenings.
We’re proud to be recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces 2026 by Great Place To Work, something that reflects the people, energy and culture we build together every day.
The Job
This is a hands-on role working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (12-hour shifts), where no two days are ever the same.
As Duty Manager, you'll be right in the middle of the action, supporting the day-to-day operation across the aparthotel and jumping in wherever you're needed. Whether you're helping the team during a busy check-in, supporting our restaurant, solving a guest issue or keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, you'll lead by example and never be afraid to roll up your sleeves.
You'll be there to support, coach and motivate the team throughout your shift, creating a positive atmosphere where everyone can do their best work. You'll also be confident handling guest concerns, finding solutions and making sure every guest leaves with a great impression.
When the Front of House Manager or Restaurant Manager is away, you'll take the lead, keeping the operation running smoothly and making sure both the team and our guests are well looked after.
If you enjoy solving problems, inspiring people and making a real impact every day, this is the role for you.
What we are looking for:
Have previous experience in a supervisor or management role within hospitality (hotel or aparthotel experience is a bonus).
Love being hands-on and are happy to jump in wherever the team needs you.
Enjoy leading by example, supporting and motivating others to do their best.
Stay calm under pressure and are confident dealing with guest feedback or finding solutions when things don't quite go to plan.
Can keep organised, juggle priorities and make good decisions during a busy shift.
Take ownership of your work and are happy leading the operation when needed.
Bring lots of positive energy and a "let's make it happen" attitude.
Are a real people person who enjoys building great relationships with guests and colleagues alike.
Have great communication skills and love creating memorable guest experiences.
