The Role
We are looking for a Water Hygiene Consultant to undertake risk assessments and other Legionella control based consultancy in line with COSHH regulations / ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / BS 8580 -1 2019.
- Location: Homebased with travel to client sites.
- Manchester/Leeds area
- Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 plus travel allowance and benefits
This role involves:
- Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with COSHH regulations / ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / BS 8580 -1 2019
- Compiling schematic drawings, as well as producing final documents for clients/customers
- Providing recommendations for the elimination, reduction and management of risk
- Collating and producing comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience carrying out Legionella risk assessments and ideally from a Legionella Consultancy background
- Suitable experience across multiple sectors is desirable (education / healthcare / commercial etc)
- Knowledge of multiple water system types is desirable (evaporative cooling / hot and cold water systems / spa’s and hot tubs / swimming pools
- Approved Legionella Risk Assessment qualification eg. City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc
- A good working knowledge of ACoP L8, HTM 04- 01 & other relevant Guidance Documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
- Excellent communication skills
- Willing to travel and do occasional overnight stays
