About us
Oxford School of English is a British Council-accredited English language school located in the heart of Oxford. We pride ourselves in providing high-quality English language education in a friendly, professional, and inclusive environment. This is combined with additional skills training, activities and excursions both within Oxford and around the UK. Each summer, our school hosts around 500 junior students aged from 12 - 17 from around the world. Our aim is for each student to develop their confidence in English, learn new practical skills, make new friends and experience British culture.
We are looking to hire friendly, reliable and energic Activity Leaders to guide and lead small groups of our international students on local activities and excursions around the UK.
Residential positions are available which include a single en-suite room in university residence on a full-board basis. Non-residential positions are available for candidates that can commute each day.
Responsibilities:
- To guide groups of students alongside their group leader (from their home country) on a set social programme
- Be available to lead 12 activity sessions per week (40 hours), with one full day excursion on either Saturday or Sunday.
- Be available to lead activities during morning + evening, or afternoon + evening shifts.
- Assist staff in planning and facilitating different types of games, activities, and projects.
- Encourage peer interaction through cooperative, competitive, and creative activities.
- Assist with the greeting of participants and help with transportation as needed.
- Ensuring that risk assessment are followed
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Temporary
Contract length: 2-6 weeks
Pay: £11.50-£14.00 per hour
