Job Role
Class 1 Driver
Location: Neilston
Hours: 40 hours per week + overtime paid after 40 hours
Shift Pattern: Day Shift with occasional Night Shift requirements
As part of our wider transport operations, we also operate across:
- Walking Floor
- Tanker
- Low Loader
Experience within any of the above operations would be advantageous; however, training and ongoing development opportunities may be available for the right candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload vehicles for customers in a safe and timely manner
- Comply with all road traffic laws and vehicle legislation
- Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain tachograph compliance
- Communicate effectively with transport and operational teams to support efficient collections and deliveries
- Positively represent the business by continuously following Company policies and procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service whilst carrying out all duties
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and vehicle compliance at all times
- Support smooth and efficient day-to-day transport operations
Qualifications, Licences & Skills
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC)
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience operating Walking Floor, Tanker or Low Loader vehicles would be advantageous
- Good understanding of driver hours, tachograph and vehicle compliance regulations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A professional, reliable and safety-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider operational team
- Good geographical knowledge and route awareness
Applicants must have the appropriate licences and legal entitlement to drive Class 1 vehicles within the UK.
