About the Role
We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and engaging individuals to deliver fun football-based sessions for children aged 2-6 years old.
This is not a traditional football coaching role. While football is the vehicle we use, our primary goal is helping young children develop confidence, social skills, coordination, and a love of being active through imaginative, exciting, and engaging games.
The ability to create a fun, positive environment is far more important than football knowledge. Coaching qualifications and session delivery can be taught. The natural ability to make young children laugh, feel comfortable, and want to participate is essential.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering fun, structured football-themed sessions for children aged 2-6.
- Using games, stories, imagination, and activities to keep children engaged.
- Building confidence and encouraging participation in every child.
- Creating a welcoming environment for both children and parents.
- Adapting your communication style to suit different ages, personalities, and developmental stages.
- Supporting children who may be shy, nervous, or attending for the first time.
- Representing the organisation in a professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
What We're Looking For
Non-Negotiable Requirements
✅ You must be fun, enthusiastic, and energetic.
✅ You must genuinely enjoy working with very young children.
✅ You must be able to engage a group of toddlers and young children with confidence and personality.
✅ You must be comfortable interacting with parents before, during, and after sessions.
✅ You must be able to adapt your manner and communication style to suit both children and adults.
✅ You must be positive, patient, encouraging, and approachable.
✅ You must be able to drive and have transport
✅ Be available every Saturday morning 8:45-10:30
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Previous experience working with children.
- Sports coaching experience.
- Teaching, nursery, childcare, or youth work experience.
- Football knowledge or coaching qualifications.
Training will be provided, including session delivery, games, activities, and coaching methodology.
Important
Please do not apply if your primary interest is coaching football tactics, techniques, or competitive sport.
This role is about creating smiles, building confidence, encouraging participation, and ensuring every child leaves having had an amazing time.
We can teach football drills, games, and session plans.
What we cannot teach is the ability to bring energy, enthusiasm, warmth, and fun into a session.
If you're the person who can walk into a group of 2-6 year olds and instantly make them feel excited, engaged, and happy, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: £25.00-£927.60 per week
