Staff365 are recruiting for a MIG Welder for our manufacturing client located in Doncaster DN1 with immediate starts for suitable candidates and after successfully completing a basis weld test.
Hours of work : Night shift - Monday to Thursday 19:00-07:00 (7pm-7am)
Pay £18.00 phr (weekly pay)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on various metal components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and repair sheet metal parts.
- Perform fabrication tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal sheets and components.
- Conduct quality checks on welds and finished products to meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with the maintenance of welding equipment, ensuring all tools are in proper working order.
Skills
- Proven experience in MIG welding is essential
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes.
- Good understanding of fabrication processes involving sheet metal.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
