Head of Asset Management
£70,000 per annum + Executive Car Allowance + Private Medical Insurance
The Social Housing Family CIC is an ambitious and growing organisation delivering high-quality supported housing and housing-related services across England and Wales.
As our portfolio continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Head of Assets to lead our Asset Management function and drive excellence across property, compliance, repairs and maintenance.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide strategic leadership across the Group's asset portfolio whilst maintaining operational oversight of repairs, maintenance, compliance and capital investment. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Commercial Director, Finance Director and Director of Housing & Support, you will play a key role in ensuring our homes remain safe, compliant and capable of supporting our continued growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced asset management professional who wants to shape a growing organisation, influence strategic decision-making and help develop the long-term asset strategy of an expanding housing group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Group's Asset Management Strategy.
- Provide strategic oversight of statutory compliance, building safety and property standards.
- Oversee responsive repairs, planned maintenance and capital investment programmes.
- Lead technical due diligence for acquisitions, portfolio transfers and mobilisation projects.
- Work alongside the Commercial Director to support growth opportunities, capital investment and portfolio expansion.
- Provide assurance to the Executive Leadership Team and Board on asset performance, compliance and investment priorities.
- Lead, develop and inspire the Repairs & Maintenance team, Compliance function, Maintenance Helpdesk and Mobile Maintenance Team.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and value for money across the Asset Management function.
About You
We're looking for an experienced asset management leader with a strong understanding of social housing, supported housing or residential property management.
You'll bring experience of:
- Asset management and investment planning.
- Repairs and maintenance services.
- Statutory compliance and building safety.
- Contractor and supply chain management.
- Budget management and capital programmes.
- Leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and contributing to organisational strategy.
