Senior Electrical Engineer
Salary: Up to £85,000 | Location: Flexible (Fully Remote Considered DOE)
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established, forward-thinking building services consultancy. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background across a diverse range of project types, including hotels, schools, luxury residential developments, commercial buildings, fire stations, and care homes.
With over 20 years of experience, our client delivers innovative and sustainable building services solutions, combining cutting-edge technology with energy-efficient design. Their portfolio spans sectors such as education, healthcare, local authority projects, places of worship, and private residential developments.
This position offers flexible working arrangements, with the opportunity to work fully remotely depending on experience (DOE).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and delivery of projects across multiple sectors
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships
- Produce detailed design documentation, calculations, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
- Maintain a professional and client-focused approach at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in electrical design within building services
- Relevant HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Member of a professional body such as CIBSE or IET (Chartered status desirable)
- Experience using design software including Relux and Amtech
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Professional, reliable, and proactive approach
- Full UK driving licence

- Experience with Revit
- Previous experience leading or managing team members
