Wessex Country Gammons Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking Night Shift Production Operative to join our established production team, working a permanent three-night shift pattern.

About the Role
As a Night Shift Production Operative, you will work as part of our production team to ensure products are prepared, processed and handled safely and efficiently in line with company procedures, customer requirements and food-safety standards.
This is a varied, hands-on food-production role.
As part of this particular shift pattern, you will also be trained to support the final stages of the night operation, including labelling and packing completed products and helping to load finished customer orders onto our delivery vehicles.
Main Duties
- Carrying out production duties as directed by the Night Shift Supervisor or Line Manager.
- Preparing, processing and handling cooked meat products.
- Operating production machinery and equipment safely and correctly following training.
- Working efficiently to achieve production targets and customer order requirements.
- Checking products during production and reporting any quality issues or unusual findings.
- Following production procedures and specifications.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the production area.
- Completing cleaning duties as required.
- Following all food safety, quality, health & safety and hygiene procedures.
- Completing any required production records or paperwork accurately.
- Supporting other members of the production team where required.
- Being trained to label and pack completed products accurately.
- Preparing completed customer orders for dispatch.
- Supporting the loading of finished products onto delivery vehicles.
Full training will be provided across all areas of the role.

Previous food-production, manufacturing, factory, packing or dispatch experience would be advantageous, but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Shift Details
36 paid hours per week over 3 nights.
You will work:
- Thursday night – starting at 8:00pm
- Friday night – starting at 8:00pm
- Saturday night – starting at 8:00pm
The role provides 36 paid working hours across the three shifts. Shift finish times will depend on the applicable break arrangements.
Your final shift of the week is on Saturday night, finishing on Sunday morning.
You will then be off Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, returning to work at 8:00pm on Thursday.
This gives you a consistent three-night working week with four nights off every week.
Some flexibility may occasionally be required to support business needs.
