Rockdale House in Sevenoaks provides excellent care for the residents in our 50 bed nursing and residential home. Set in beautiful surroundings and located in the centre of Sevenoaks, Rockdale is highly regarded by the community. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hard-working Night Care Assistant to join our team.
We are looking for dedicated care staff who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people. Your duties will include answering call bells, completing care plans, assisting residents with dressing and personal care, as well as supporting residents with social activities. Treating people with kindness is essential, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good MS Skills and GCSE's in English and Maths are also desirable.
For this role, successful candidates will have:
- Excellent communication skills and be a great team player
- A good understanding of person centred care
- Experience of working in a similar environment
- The ability to make responsible decisions that are always in the resident's best interest
- An NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential, however you should be willing to get further training if needed
Hours of work: 25 hours a week, including weekend shifts. Two shifts per week starting at 7:30pm and finishing at 8:00am.
Pay: £13.95 per hour (basic rate) and £18.13 per hour (enhanced rate)
