Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Head Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations within our esteemed establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, whilst ensuring efficient service and team management. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared in a timely manner
- Develop innovative menus in line with current trends and guest preferences
- Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in accordance with hygiene standards
- Assist in serving guests when necessary, providing excellent hospitality experience
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a hotel or restaurant setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, menu development, and presentation standards
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant operations is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food production processes and maintaining high standards of quality control
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
