Children's Residential Support Worker (Bank)
£13.45 an hour + £55 for sleep in rate

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll be a crucial part of a passionate team, helping vulnerable young people through their challenges and creating positive change in their lives.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Residential Support Worker, your role will include:

Supporting daily routines: Supporting children with personal care, meal preparation, and daily activities to help them develop independence

Educational support: Encouraging and supporting children in their learning journey, assisting with homework, and helping them develop new skills

Leading recreational activities: Organising and leading recreational activities, including fun events and holidays, to increase engagement and enhance well-being.

Emotional support: Providing guidance, care, and person-centred support to help children navigate difficult moments

Documentation: Completing care plans, reports, and maintaining accurate records.

Maintaining a safe environment: Ensuring the home is clean, secure, and well-organised

Team collaboration: Working closely with colleagues to create a positive, nurturing environment

We are seeking individuals who are:

Communicative: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, colleagues, and external partners

Motivated: Committed to providing high-quality care and working toward the best outcomes for children and young people

Flexible: Willing to work shifts that include evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Previous experience in residential care is preferred but not essential—we provide full training to support your success in the role.
