Darwin's Townhouse is an award-winning, five-star boutique bed & breakfast in the heart of Shrewsbury. We are proud holders of the AA Five Star Bed & Breakfast Award and the AA Five Star Breakfast Award, and we're looking for enthusiastic, reliable team members to help us maintain the exceptional standards our guests have come to expect.
We are currently recruiting multiple candidates and have two flexible opportunities available:
Part-Time Morning Role
Sunday, Monday & Tuesday
- 6:00am – 3:00pm or 8:00am – 3:00pm
Weekend Role
Saturday and/or Sunday
About the Role
For our early morning shifts, you'll be responsible for opening the property and preparing everything for our busy breakfast service, which runs daily from 7:00am to 10:00am. Once breakfast is underway, you'll assist the team in delivering outstanding service before helping to maintain the immaculate presentation of our guest areas and bedrooms.
Duties include:
- Opening the property for the day (6:00am shifts)
- Assisting with breakfast service
- Cleaning and maintaining guest bedrooms (19 rooms)
- Cleaning and presenting communal areas to five-star standards
- Replenishing guest amenities and supplies
- Working closely with the reception and housekeeping teams
- Ensuring every guest experiences the high standards Darwin's Townhouse is known for
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Is reliable, punctual and enjoys early starts (for the 6:00am role)
- Takes pride in delivering exceptional cleanliness and presentation
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a small, friendly team
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
