We are looking for an enthusiastic
Independent Domestic Violence Advocate / Community Worker
to support men that have experienced domestic abuse
2-year fixed term contract
Full time – 37 hours per week
Salary – £31,022 - £32,061 per annum (qualified)
25 days leave + bank holidays

Location – Coventry
Our IDVA / Community Worker will be a key role in an exciting new project, Anchor Point, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
You will provide a range of community-based support services for men who have experienced, or are currently experiencing domestic abuse, including those presenting with additional needs.
We are looking for someone with experience of supporting victims/survivors of domestic abuse, managing a caseload and understanding the principles of safeguarding children and adults. The post holder will have a good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and how this can affect victims. This is a challenging role that requires empathy, compassion, excellent interpersonal and caseload management skills, a client-centred approach and proactive crisis intervention.
Requirements:
IDVA Qualified OR at least 2 years’ experience working as a Domestic Abuse Advocate
Training can be provided to achieve the full IDVA qualification
