Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader at our The Anchor Day Nursery and Pre-school l to oversee and support our nursery environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating space for young children, ensuring their developmental needs are met through effective management and leadership. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily activities within the nursery room, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote early childhood development.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and team members through excellent communication skills.
- Manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to staff members.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Organise resources and materials needed for activities, ensuring they are suitable and well-maintained.
- Monitor children's progress and keep detailed records of developmental milestones.
- Drive responsibilities may include transporting children safely to and from activities or outings when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
- Demonstrated management or leadership skills within a childcare environment.
- Working knowledge of child development stages and appropriate educational practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience working with children in diverse settings is preferred.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies as needed.
