Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook burgers and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is cooked safely, maintaining strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Assist in meal preparation during busy service hours, supporting the kitchen team to deliver timely orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Serve customers with enthusiasm, taking orders accurately and providing excellent customer service
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, notifying management when supplies need replenishing
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for serving customers and collaborating with team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic culinary experience with an understanding of burger assembly and ingredient handling is preferred
- Enthusiasm for learning new cooking techniques and contributing positively to team dynamics
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
