The Role and Department:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Service Manager to join the organisation on a 12-month fixed term basis overseeing a pilot phase for one of two Greater Manchester Overnight Community Crisis Hubs.
Our Community Mental Health Crisis Service is an innovative, community-based alternative to hospital admission and emergency department attendance for adults experiencing mental health crisis, emotional distress and psychosocial challenges. Operating as an overnight crisis space, the service provides a safe, welcoming and recovery-focused environment where people can access immediate support, stabilisation and connection to ongoing care.
As Service Manager, you will provide operational and professional leadership for the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred support. You will be responsible for the overall management, quality and performance of the service, leading a multidisciplinary team of Community Mental Health Crisis Navigators and Community Mental Health Crisis Peer Support Workers. The role will oversee governance, safeguarding, risk management, workforce development, partnership working and service improvement, while ensuring the service remains responsive to the needs of the local community and aligned with national priorities for community-based crisis support. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a pioneering service that places lived experience, recovery and compassionate care at the heart of crisis support.

To be considered for this role, we are looking for a competent manager to support mobilisation of the pilot as well as desire for continuous improvement throughout the 12-month period. We are looking for somebody experienced in risk and safeguarding and line management responsibilities with passion for supporting vulnerable Adults in Mental Health Crisis in line with our organisational values.
To be considered for this role, we are looking for a competent and passionate manager to mobilise a new offer. You will have a strong track record of managing mental health, health, social care or community-based services. You will bring expertise in safeguarding, quality assurance, service delivery and partnership working, together with a passion for improving outcomes for people experiencing mental health crisis. You will be confident leading teams, driving continuous improvement and developing a positive, inclusive culture. Most importantly, you will share our commitment to recovery, trauma-informed practice and the belief that people can move beyond crisis when supported with compassion, dignity and hope.
