Do you have a passion for cooking and take pride in creating delicious, nutritious meals? We're looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Part-Time Cook to join our kitchen team at Gedling Village Care Home.

About the Role
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene. Working alongside the Kitchen Assistant, you will help ensure residents receive a varied menu that meets their individual preferences and dietary requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking attractive, nutritious meals for residents.
- Ensuring all dietary requirements, preferences and nutritional needs are met.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and cleanliness.
- Working closely with the Kitchen Assistant to deliver an efficient catering service.
- Following all food safety, COSHH and hygiene regulations.
- Carrying out temperature checks and maintaining accurate records.
- Completing kitchen documentation and cleaning schedules.
- Helping to create a positive dining experience for residents.
What We're Looking For
- An enthusiastic and energetic individual with a positive attitude.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Understanding of dietary requirements and nutritional needs.
- A team player who is committed to delivering excellent standards.
- Willingness to work every other weekend.
