Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The successful candidate will support culinary operations by ensuring all kitchen areas are hygienic and well-stocked, enabling our chefs to deliver exceptional service. Previous experience in a hospitality setting is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to meet hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment
- Restocking supplies and organising storage areas efficiently
- Supporting the smooth running of the kitchen during service times
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Maintaining a tidy and organised workspace throughout shifts
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is essential
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or serving roles is beneficial
- Experience working in a busy kitchen or hospitality setting will be advantageous
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
