Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen managers.
- Maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Organising storage areas for ingredients, utensils, and equipment for efficient workflow.
- Supporting the culinary team during busy service periods by providing timely assistance with cleaning or prep work.
- Collecting and disposing of waste materials in accordance with environmental policies.
- Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times within the kitchen environment.
Skills
- Experience or interest in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering services.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
