Welcome to ZAPT Laser Tag!
ZAPT Laser Tag is an outdoor laser venue based in the beautiful woodlands of Milton Country Park, just north of Cambridge city. The venue has been set up by the team that runs Cambridge’s top indoor leisure attraction, Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge, and is owned by award-winning, independent family business, Walthew Leisure Ltd. ZAPT is opening in May 2024, so the perfect time to welcome 1,000s of visitors this year and beyond.
We are looking for a new VENUE SUPERVISOR to join our team from September 2026.
We are looking for people who would like to work regular shifts on either Saturdays or Sundays, or both. Please note that we are only open on Sundays fom November to the end of March.

The VENUE SUPERVISOR’S role is to help our customers while they at the ZAPT Laser Tag venue, giving great customer service, keeping your guests safe and making their time with us as enjoyable as possible! You will also have responsibility for the team and the games area, in collaboration with the Venue Manager.
You will have a varied job within a small team, with roles that include:
- Opening and closing the site
- Helping to manage the team of Games Marshals, in collaboration with the Venue Manager
- Helping us to set and maintain the highest standards of customer service for the laser tag experience of our guests
- Deliver game and safety briefings by groups of up to 30 players, and give team tactic talks and assistance to all who need it
- Welcoming customers and ensure they are motivated and reassured at the start of their laser tag experience and congratulated on their departure from the ZAPT game zone and encouraged to visit again
- Taking bookings and giving information about ZAPT sessions
- Ensuring our birthday party guest are looked after
- Cleaning and general maintenance of equipment and the game
- Minimising customer complaints and maximise customer satisfaction, to the best of your control
- Assisting the ZAPT management team, to maintain the standards health and safety at all times and throughout the laser tag operations
- Liaising when necessary with the team at Milton Country Park
The job will involve you acting as a First Aider and Fire Marshall – once qualified – for which full training will be provided
The very nature of our business is ACTIVITY, therefore our VENUE SUPERVISOR will be coming with the ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weathers for various tasks including:
- Demonstrations
- Moving safely around the uneven terrain of the game zone to supervise laser tag sessions and ensure all players are behaving in a safe and appropriate manner
- Maintenance of the woodland game zone
- Carrying equipment from our storage area to the game zone

We anticipate ZAPT Laser Tag will be open all year round, whatever the weather. However, we expect the venue to be quieter at certain time of year, particularly over the winter. This is when our other business, Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge, is at its busiest, and so there may be opportunities to work here as well. It is not a requirement for you to do this in order for you to join the ZAPT team, but most of the requirements for working at ZAPT are the same as at Clip ‘n Climb. The main difference at Clip ‘n Climb is that we need instructors to have the ability to climb up to 10 metres in height using climbing ropes for various tasks. We will let you know nearer the end of the Summer whether there are opportunities here, as well as with ZAPT.
