We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Southern Water Services team based in working from home / Falmer.
Location: Working from home / Falmer
Hours: 40 hours per week - 3days per week need to be attended at a live site or in the office.

As part of our Commercial team, you'll play a vital role in controlling costs, maximising value, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Working on Kier's exciting £3.1bn Strategic Development Partnership Framework with Southern Water Services, you'll be part of a collaborative environment delivering innovative solutions across water and wastewater projects. What will you be responsible for?
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in controlling costs and maximising value across major water infrastructure projects. Your day to day will include:
- Measuring works and preparing monthly and final payment applications, including reporting and forecasting
- Monitoring project costs and value, ensuring all contractual notifications are in place
- Managing subcontract applications and assessments in line with contractual requirements
- Supporting operational teams with contract compliance, procurement strategy, and value maximisation
- Mentoring junior team members and liaising with client and subcontract commercial teams
What are we looking for?
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You have experience working with NEC contracts and Target Costs
- You've worked within the construction, water, or civils industry
- You have excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, and experience with Oracle and Causeway systems
- You possess strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients
- You're motivated to learn and develop new skills whilst building collaborative relationships
