Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bathroom Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining bathroom fixtures and fittings in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems, along with the ability to work efficiently and safely on various projects. Candidates with experience in welding, power tools, and heavy lifting will be highly valued. Duties
- Install, repair, and replace bathroom fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fitting
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete installations
- Conduct plumbing work including pipe fitting, sealing, and leak repairs
- Carry out carpentry tasks related to bathroom fittings and cabinetry
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on-site
- Assist with the assembly of bathroom components and fixtures
- Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout each project
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
Requirements
- Proven experience in bathroom fitting or similar trade roles
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Strong plumbing skills with knowledge of pipework and sealing methods
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to bathroom fixtures and fittings
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installation processes
- Carpentry skills for fitting cabinetry or related structures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely on-site
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving is desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
