Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Hiab Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a flatbed lorry equipped with a Hiab crane, delivering goods safely and efficiently across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery services. The ideal applicant will possess strong driving skills, experience in delivery operations, and the ability to handle specialised lifting equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 lorry fitted with a Hiab crane, ensuring compliance with all road safety and operational regulations
- Load and unload goods using the Hiab crane, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring secure handling of materials
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedules and optimise efficiency
- Assist with securing cargo on flatbed trailers to prevent movement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Communicate professionally with clients, dispatch teams, and colleagues regarding delivery times or any issues encountered
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly in delivering goods using flatbed vehicles equipped with Hiab cranes
- Prior experience in delivery driving is highly desirable
- Familiarity with operating flatbed trucks and handling cargo securely
- Valid driving licence for Class 1 vehicles with relevant endorsements
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and crane operation is preferred

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
