The White Swan in Shawell is preparing to reopen its doors, and we're looking for an ambitious, creative, and passionate Head Chef to help shape the future of our food offering from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity for a talented chef to take ownership of a kitchen, develop exciting menus, recruit and lead a new team, and establish The White Swan as a must-visit dining destination in the local area.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will play a key role in the relaunch of The White Swan. Working closely with the management team, you will:
- Create and develop seasonal menus that showcase quality ingredients and great pub dining.
- Directing the food preparation process & delegating tasks
- Build and lead a motivated kitchen team.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Manage food costs, stock control, and supplier relationships.
- Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Drive innovation and help establish the culinary identity of the venue.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up.
- Is passionate about fresh food and menu development.
- Has strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Is commercially aware and able to manage kitchen budgets effectively.
- Takes pride in delivering outstanding guest experiences.
