Chef / Cook – Immediate Start

Immediate start with the opportunity to secure a permanent, year-round position from September.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
Hours: Full-time or part-time roles available, up to 40 hours per week (additional hours may be available during the peak season).
The Galleon Inn, Broad Haven, is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Chef / Cook to join our new team, with an immediate start available.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy coastal pub. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality food, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a friendly, hardworking team.
The successful candidate will begin employment working alongside the existing team until the start of September. Once we take over the management of The Galleon Inn, there will be the opportunity to transfer onto our payroll in a permanent, year-round role, subject to a successful induction period.
Duties include:
- Preparing and cooking meals to a consistently high standard
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
- Complying with all food safety and allergen procedures
- Assisting with food preparation, stock rotation, and storage
- Confidently working independently when required and as part of a supportive team
- Helping deliver a great dining experience for every customer
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a chef or cook in a pub, restaurant, or similar environment
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy service
- A current Food Hygiene certificate is essential
- Good knowledge of food safety and allergen management
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
