We are seeking a self-employed Delivery Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations within designated areas
- Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times and fuel consumption
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secure during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain signatures upon receipt of goods
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeframes
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with valid driving credentials
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when required
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics and inventory handling
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
